I designed and created the Peekaboo collection in collaboration with a local artist. The limited edition series of hats, fascinators, ties, and accessories was inspired to capture the seductive allure and feminine mystique of a woman while leaving much to the imagination. Each piece of the collection, including the coordinating and styling of the photo shoot, involved extensive creative vision and artistic detail from concept, to creation and final production.
Throughout my creative journey I've been fortunate to continue studying a diverse array of skills and crafts such as millinery, jewelry making, couture sewing techniques, silk flower making, feather art, leather craft, draping, and pattern making. These opportunities have empowered me to create custom pieces for clients as well as further developed my prototyping skills when designing new products.
My experience working as a Designer for Goorin Brothers showed me what it means to continue a legacy. During my time with Goorin, I was able to recognize and enhance the innovation and success of a product for a company that has remained in business since 1895. Understanding the aesthetic of a brand and ensuring consistent improvement in quality while offering a fresh look on tradition is something I take pride in and will always strive for.
As a Designer I believe it is imperative to create product lines that are not only aesthetically cohesive but also strategically inspired to appeal to a brand's target market. While working as a Designer for Helena de Natalio, I actively studied our customer base to build and create brand specific icons that I incorporated into my designs. This promoted growth in market recognition as well as a distinguishable product of quality and style.
